Trident Booksellers & Cafe opened in 1984 and since then has expanded from a small bookstore cafe to a full-service restaurant and two floors of books. Located on Newbury Street in historic Back Bay, Trident is the last general independent bookstore in Boston. Browse our bookshelves and shop our eclectic mix of gifts and greeting cards. In the cafe, menu favorites are the lemon ricotta French toast, vegan cashew chili, and deluxe grilled cheese.
